The mission statement of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office is to provide the highest degree of law enforcement possible to the citizens of Wayne County utilizing the resources that are made available to us.

We pledge that we will serve with integrity, professionalism, dedication, competence, and character. We will apply the laws of the State of Iowa equally to those we serve.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency for all 527 square miles of Wayne County. We serve approximately 6,500 residents of the county.
